Equal Length Headers

Why are there no true equal length headers built for the R3? I think it's because everyone builds for looks, not performance. A true equal length, 35 degree system has been proposed by my builder... stay tuned.

Meethinks Sam's system is the best I've seen in this and many other respects, I'm in the process of ordering. Should be a useful addition to this;

Riddick's SC Rocket with his own design of pipes was recently on Richard's dyno producing 267php. Mine will be measured on the same dyno once they are fitted and Richard has a chance to tweak the tune accordingly. I will post results, but it will be a while yet.

headers

Murray has made at least three sets to my spec with equal length,one set looked a bit rough as they were for trying out,he did one (all 3:1s) for a guy in Sydney and they look the ducks nuts,smooth and power was nice.Not a lot more than say Jardnes,but wider power and they worked better with a hot motor.The first set we went from 123 to 152hp with the stock ECU and air filter was only K&N underseat.Mapped with PC3.So they work pretty well.

Joker, you best get your measuring tape out if you think Predators are equal length headers.

Great guacamole! Equal length headers made 152 RWHP with an underseat air filter and stock intake!!! That's way better than any other header made, as Jar's and Sam's make 152 HP with triple air filters mounted. No wonder my exhaust builder is so adamant only building equal length.

Sam, I'm not really impressed with 155 STD HP with triple filters, when equal length headers have made 152 HP with an underseat filter. The triple filter mod has been shown to give a 10 RWHP increase alone.

Why didn't you build Predators equal length, as Burns explains on their website?

Actually, I think Regulator posted a good sound file of his Predators.

I'm curious too, what Predators cost... and would love to continue the discussion of why they are not equal length? Inquiring minds want to know.
