I am assuming that without the O2 sensor hooked up it is causing the check engine light to come on? I figured if Pig9r used it then I probably needed it. I haven't received the O2 eliminator yet but my check engine light is on? Don't know what else could cause it besides the O2 sensor since nothing has changed but the tune?

Make sure the O2 sensor box is uncheck in Tunedit under tune constants. I fitted the eliminator prior to this option being available with tuneboy, however I left it in place, for one it protects the plug and if I forget to check the O2 box with Tuneboy it's taken care of.

Thumbs up Wow lots of work here

You are commended on your work here to load tunes....what are you gaining when you load the tune and use the tuneboy.....whats the seat of the pants review...why not stay with the factoy tunes with factory hardware for cat bypasses and tors??

I unchecked the box and loaded the 20050_3 tune. I completely removed the O2 sensor prior to loading the new tune and when I started my bike it had the check engine light on? Should it not come on if I unchecked the box when I loaded the new tune? If not maybe I should unhook the battery and reset it and see if it comes back on?

Freightbusters......Yes I noticed a SOP difference and as posted here there is proven dyno increases because of the full power in all gears instead of 4th and 5th due to secondaries staying partially closed in factory tunes plus correcting the speedo error of 7% plus the unlimited "tuneability" and custom tunes. I feel that it has been money well spent for the gains provided. I don't think that anyone here that has it will disagree?

Try saving the tune after unchecking the box then loading it.

Also you might see what error code it shows in tuneboy diagnostics.

Great. I will give it a try. I didn't know that tuneboy diagnostics would show what error code was in the computer for a check engine light. Thanks for the info.....Craig

There's only one reason for TuneBoy. It's an entitlements programs: more speed, more response, more gittup and went, and most impotent more grin If you're going to mod this and mod that you might as well get the most out of them as well. Factory tunes are like factory tunes The least effective means to convert gasoline into noise without the harmful effects of higher horse power (I borrowed that)

I'm really new to fuel injection so laugh all you want. Is the idea of removing the 02 sensor strictly so the ECU wont try to adjust settings that you uploaded with your tuneboy??

That is correct. Areas where the ECU is in closed loop it will add fuel trims to lean out the air fuel ratio.
