| | | 167 MPH Today I did 167 MPH today with no sweat... on the dyno! It's quite a kick sitting on all that massive hoss power and screaming exhaust while not moving... a first for me and a real eyeopener!

| | | Don't Forget The good news is you don't have to worry about deer, corners, pot holes and stupid drivers in front of you. The bad news is you used up a lot of gas and didn't get anywhere!
Sounds like you might need some CF tie downs just to hold the beast in check.
What kind of numbers did you see on torque?

| | Actually it wasn't with my R3... we were testing the dyno's A/F sniffer with my BMW K1200S. The K1200S has a full wide-band controlled ECU so it showed a nice smooth 13 A/F line (as it should), and 149 SAE RWHP.
I'm still waiting on paint shop for my R3 parts.

That would solve a lot of problems on the Rocket. I didn't really start studying fuel injection much until getting the Rocket and playing with Tuneboy. The more I read the more I realize that the Rocket has the equivalent to a late 1980's or early 1990's fuel injection system.

| | Not to worry guys... sometime later this year I hope to install a MOTEC full wide-band ECU on my R3. I'll keep the wiring harness particulars should anyone else want one later on. The MOTEC M400 on a IC SC R3 should be a hot ticket.

| | | How fast can R3 go? I have read in the past , not sure if it was this forum in particular; but any how, that no matter what kind of performance upgrades one has done to the R3 that it is not capable of doing much more than 150 MPH due to its stock gearing. Can anyone say how true this statement is. |

| | Untrue... a naked R3 has already done 155 MPH at Bonneville. R3 stock final drive ratio should be good for 170+ MPH, aerodynamics permitting.

That's all well and good so long as the front stop don't break. If it does, that wall comes up really quick.
We chain 'em from the rear on our dyno. Of course it's a truck not a bike. It's a Superflow 1500 horsepower unit.
