I'm sure I'm gonna get some flak for this but I don't care for the symmetry of Sams pipes at all. What you are doing is turning a fine medium distance touring machine into a bar bike, which, is your choice, but not mine.
The headers protrude way too far from the exhaust spigots so you essentially have to assume a riding position with your right leg angled out in the wind, rain, bugs, whatever. Besides, a cocked sideways riding position is very uncomfortable for any travelling.
As hot as the
R3 exhaust runs, even a spli second of not paying attention to your right leg poisition will net you a burn you'll never forget, especiall if you ride in shorts like most bar bikers do.
If you want a bar bike, have at it. They aren't my cup of tea.
